Rosa Parks

Rosa Parks, a black woman. No she was more than that. I was reading about her and it said, "the first lady of civil rights''. On December 1, 1955, Rosa Parks, age 42, refused to give her seat on the bus to a white man. Some say this action encouraged Martin Luther King Jr. to start the civil rights movement. Her little action did that. She was arrested and put in jail just because of that! "Rosa Parks sat down in hope that blacks would stand up!" That is one of my favorite quotes, it is really inspiring to me. I read that in an article and I told my mom that quote and we both thought that, that was a really amazing quote. In that one quote it says so much. Rosa Parks was an inspiration. A woman who changed a Nation.
                    Thank you Rosa.
